Woodland Beach 09-19-2008 08:48
Sunny & Clear, Winds Calm – 50-60 Degrees
Hunted the opener for teal. We shot a few birds but did not see many teal at all. Very slow and virtually no geese which was disappointing. I am ready for the normal season.

New Castle County 09-05-2008 07:44
Sunny & Clear, Winds Calm – 60-65 Degrees
Hunted geese on Labor Day. Saw very few, but got two.

Saw even fewer ducks. Two black ducks flew in and out of our spread and saw four ducks high and away flying south, probably over Route 9.

Sunny & Clear, Winds Calm – Over 70 Degrees
Most of the fields are planted which is nice to see. Reminds us that the season is getting closer. No waterfowl to really look at though, one mallard drake in my two hour plus ride.

Took a ride on Sunday and there are many pintails around. They were sitting all around Woodland Beach and in the impounds across from Augustine Beach.

Its a wrap. the season is over and we ended with a two man limit. It took some time but manage 6 different species of ducks.

Northwest of the \”Storm\” 01-24-2008 19:01
Cloudy, Winds Calm – 30-34 Degrees – Ice
Snowed the whole time we were putting out decoys this afternoon. Get set to hunt and it stops. Storm stayed a little off the coast. Could have killed some Canadas of course. Shot the only ducks we saw. They decoyed nice but you need to see more than two groups to have a successfull day. I think the ice is either keeping them on the marsh or they are gone.

Kent County 01-23-2008 08:25
Cloudy, Light Rain & Drizzle – 35-40 Degrees
Not many ducks around at all. Plenty of Canadas a day after the season closed of course. Not really sure what the solution is at this point. Maybe staying at home is the best option.
