Cloudy, Occassional Rain Showers – 40-45 Degrees
Rain washed away the snow and there were ducks everywhere in the fields. Killed our limit of mallards in about 30 mins and should have been sooner. I would say the birds are here.

Area fields are too deep with snow to hunt. Not sure what the next move will be. Hopefully the rain will wash away some snow. Hunting for a few hours on 12/24 and did not see a duck or goose.

Arctic Blast – 25-30 Degrees – Ice
On Saturday December 19th. Mallards flying all morning. The ice made it tricky getting them to decoy. Two of us finally limited out on mallards. Six drakes and two hens.

Finally think we got a push of birds now that the split is over. We can hope they stick around for the final split and that we get some new ones.

Southern New Castle County 11-02-2009 06:36
Cloudy, Light Rain & Drizzle – 50-60 Degrees
Very spotty hunting. On Friday Oct 30th, some folks saw hundreds of teal. But over all, few hunters I spoke to did well. Wood ducks have dropped off compared to a couple of weeks ago.

Cloudy, Occassional Rain Showers – 40-45 Degrees
I have been seeing a steady flow of Canada Geese heading down all day every day. They are very noisy and hungry I am sure. This Nor’easter had them going crazy the last few days. No real sights of ducks yet, will have to do more scouting.

Have not seen or heard of any teal either anywhere. I may make a final scouting mission tomorrow but at this point, I am not sure they are worth chasing.

I have not heard reports of any teal worth pursuing.

Dove are accumulated in various pockets, but I guess they are resident birds.

September 1 and 2 don’t seem promising.
