Anyone seeing any ringnecks out there yet? Had a great early teal season and looking forward to bagging some divers. Saw a few while snipe hunting on Kissimee, but no big groups to speak of just yet.

Happy hunting!

There are no teal here, We scouted much of Central Florida and found none! Those that went out did not see any!

I guess thats bad, Did see some big gators and skeeters though

Cloudy, Light Rain & Drizzle – 45-50 Degrees
Hunted the last day, limited out on Hybrids and Ringnecks, shot a common merganser.

Overall a very poor season, no concentration of ducks

We all need to work on changing the draw system for TM Goodwin…needs to be a lottery system

Mottler,

or anyone else that knows my stomping grounds.

I’ve been restricted from the highway due to medical issues since October, but I hope to obtain a release and get my daughter out for at least one weekend in January….Are there any birds around “Tits”..Please PM me with the scoop.

Ducks have been scattered since the opening weekend. Still possible to get a limit with some good scouting. Weather needs to cool off to get some more ducks down here.

Central and N. Fla. lakes that I have seen that have water AND HYDRILLA… have ducks. Ringnecks mostly with puddlers. Hydrilla seems to be the key. Hope budget constraints keep hydrilla spraying at bay. PCS has some ducks but hard to hunt because of low water. PCS is in the phosphate business. Not the duck business. Fulvous

Pretty good 1st phase: lots of wood duck and got into some of the 1st ringnecks of the season. One hunter at the ramp reported seeing Mallards?! With the warm trend this week, not sure if the ringnecks will move north some but the cold front coming down hopefully will bring in new birds by Dec 9.

Not much , water is down, most of the marshes are dry, can walk the edges of Toho and Hatchneeha, not seeing ducks other than the local mottled ducks….
