Well I haven’t posted on here in almost a year. I was looking back and I see my buddy posted about my accident that took place on the opening day of duck season October 14th. I was going to ask if anyone saw my picture on the front of the Idaho statesman. It is a picture of me and my buddy with three limits of ducks and my black lab. I’m in a wheelchair right now but I’m not going to let that keep me from going hunting. I bought a Lowe Roughneck at the beginning of last season, this is going to be the easiest way for me to get out. I’m currently putting a cabelas marsh grass blind on it and my dad has built me a ramp so it’s easier for me to get in and out of the boat. I will mostly be hunting the Snake River and some of the big reservoirs. I’ll be sure to post my hunting reports. Let’s all have a good safe season.

I can’t believe what I did…. I bought a Fort Hall Bottoms (American Falls area) Reservation permit for this year. This should be great fun. My lab is in her prime and I am ready to rock!!! Anyone else that has this permit should look me up and we can discuss a possible hunt. Last year the late season goose hunting was unreal. Some guys I know said they shot limits of Canada Geese and greenheads within a few hours. WOWZERSS!!!!

Atten: Jonny Bravo and RNT caller —
Just for the fun of it I am checking your state for member input, and I see UTAH (my state) has been worse than Idaho this past season..I’ve enjoyed being a Field Editor for this site for about 4 years, but our input from other hunters also has dwindled to “not much”…We used to have 5 Field Editors, then last season only 2, and it looks like you guys don’t have any right now. I don’t know what gives, but I sure love this ‘Passtime’ of Waterfowling, and have passed on a lot of info on my area…Maybe I’ll have to check your state more often and look you up to do a hunt up in Idaho…I have a buddy that hunts on the Snake once in a while, but I haven’t been there yet for a hunt…Hope you don’t give up here on your site…Good luck — JOE

Cloudy, Winds Calm – 35-40 Degrees
Boy I wish the season was still open! This morning I saw over 500 mallards taking flight headin for a field somewhere. Still lots of snow but at least it is warming up. There are also geese heading back this way. I have noticed a bunch of pairs on the river.

RNT,
I agree about no one posting to this website. I posted a report about a waterfowl flight I did in early January and no one asked about it. Not sure what the deal is. Oh well, good luck preparing for next year.

Sunny & Clear, Winds Calm – 35-40 Degrees
Well we went out for the last two days of the season. Thurs. 4 of us hit the river and were able to shoot 16, malllards and widgon and two pintails. The shooting was good the birds are just really educated. It was a good end to a duck season. Friday we hit the fields for one more shot at geese. The same story as the ducks the geese were hard ti finish. 3 of us were able to get 8 but we had to hunt bolth morning and evening flights. Well i hope everyone had a good season. I don’t think i will be useing this site next year because no one seems to be using the site anymore. It’s to bad because if anyone would have asked i could have put them on some good duck and goose spots. plus i am always looking for some one to go goose hunting with me.

Have a safe summer
