No good dove spot yet but goose opens here Monday and we have a nice little wheat field that they’re feeding in daily. when we shoot ‘em out of there we have access to all the other open wheat fields around. 95% of our whet has soybeans in it due to the mild moist summer we were having. Hopefully some one will start cutting corn for silage and create a dove hot spot for the following weekend.

“Or maybe, our love of waterfowling is really our love of being with good dogs and decent people. Ducks and geese are a diversion blind.” Nailed it!

Sorry to hear about Rocket Bill. Give him a scratch and a treat from me. It’s tough watching the old generals get to the age that their bodies will not do what their minds still want.

Bill call me sometime over the weekend when your free. Gonna be splitting wood most of tomorrow so may not hear phone if you call morning/early PM.

I have hunted with Jeff & Trevor at Living Skies Outfitters and would absolutely go back and hunt with them again. I went with a friend who has hunted with them for 8+ years and he will go back next year.

Check with Jim Eyster at Heritage Gunsmiths in Centerburg, Ohio (740) 625-6131. Northeast of Columbus. World renown for their quality work. A very fine family. Ken Eyster was a good man I knew for many years.
