I just got one back from the taxidermist. I’ve got 2 of them on the wall. If I can remember how to down load pics, I’ll post it.November 18, 2014 at 1:42 pm #8787
That won’t be tough…..they all stock about a 6 pack of that $hit…
When you gonna be up there next, for an extended stay? Looking at when my next vacation trip gonna be?? I’m either looking at next week which is right after this warm up and rain, or first week of Dec. Looked at the 10 day….don’t see any real freeze ups like we just had anytime soon? Probably gonna be up there “working” middle of Dec.November 18, 2014 at 10:16 am #8784
Still over 900,000 ducks directly north of us, Kevin. Nothing blew by yet. The lake has a ton of food. We’ll keep them around a good while this year. Most of the corn is froze right now. They just stand on the ice and eat….I’m fine with that.November 18, 2014 at 8:15 am #8782

Then there’s that Facebook thing…..which I’m not on. Oh well…..Your phone number, and those I care about is all that matters.
I get to start killing things with wings this weekend…..Kinda giddy right now!!
Take care, buddy!!October 20, 2014 at 6:54 am #8652

I shoot the SX3. It doubles as a boat oar, when necessary……then goes bang when I want it to…
Hi Damon.September 8, 2014 at 7:19 am #8329
….Which I’m sure provides exceptional movement??!! LOL!!
That’s real key there, Bill. Whatever bases suit you the best, just need to make sure you can get some good movement out of them…..Pick one. They be fine.September 4, 2014 at 8:24 am #8318
Ok…..So I screwed up. He’s 4 weeks today. Not 1 month. My wife informed me of that….such a sweetheart she is….1 month On the 7th.
As if anyone gives a……..LOL!!September 4, 2014 at 6:43 am #8317
I mingle in and out, Bill. Don’t wanna let this place get too comfortable not having an A-Hole around!!! LOL!!
90 more last night. Resting the fields til Saturday. Since we’ve got the 3, we rotated to a different patch last night. 6 limits. Saturday we’ll head to 3rd patch, and I think Sunday morning back to the hot hole! They’re all kinda hot right now….
Good luck today, Bill!!
Side note: Didn’t realize I hadn’t mentioned it here, til I just talked to Bill on the phone. I’m a month into fatherhood. 1 month today, as a matter of fact. Baby boy. My wife is F-ed!! LOL!!! She basically gets to be favorite for the 1st couple years on account of her having the tits and patience with the diapers….then she’s gonna need a hobby or another kid, cause he’s gonna have a new favorite then!!
Happy hunting all…September 3, 2014 at 7:26 am #8314
Great opener here…..We had 3 sunflower fields we put in. About a mile apart in a triangle. Shot 270. We let them rest yesterday….and probably today. Head back tomorrow afternoon. Teal season starts Saturday. Sposed to get a well-timed front on Friday night, and then a bigger one next Wed.
Nice to feel that recoil again……
Happy hunting.August 20, 2014 at 11:58 am #8278
Looks like I’m gonna be “working” up at Scott’s Sept. 8 – 12. As it turns out, that’s first week of teal season….Funny how that continues to happen??
I’m sure I’ll see ya around up there…..August 18, 2014 at 7:43 am #8262
DU…Save’em for cripple loads. They work well on that, and you ain’t burnin up your good stuff.August 15, 2014 at 8:18 am #8254
A case of Teal Steel, huh, DU?? You really banking on this new WI teal season being a slaughter??!! LOL!!
Good luck!! Hope you shoot half of them!!!July 18, 2014 at 10:13 am #8162
Yes Kevin, but what does that amount to?? You may be correct with regards to “proportion”, however….look at the bottom line dollar amount. Delta can’t sniff their jocks on that….
Furthermore, they are 2 very different organizations, with 2 very different approaches to conservation.July 18, 2014 at 9:03 am #8160
I was a DU committee member for 15 years, including 4 as area chairman. It’s a thankless job. It’s a giant pain in the a$$. You get absolutely nothing back for COUNTLESS HOURS/DAYS/WEEKS of beating down doors, drumming up donation, selling tickets, and filling the halls….not even a FukkIng pin….
Now that I have that off my chest…..Don’t know much about how Delta is run?? DU banquets just really get old and mundane after you’ve seen it 150 times. Same SHIt….different venue. Here’s my $30…..now leave me alone.June 27, 2014 at 10:49 am #8120
9:00 a.m. opener??? WTF??? That’s gotta be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard….?? The fukkin things done settled in somewhere by then…..Please tell me you can shoot til sunset at least??!!!
Also….make sure you got steel dove loads if you shooting while waterfowl hunting!!
