I was told it’ll get better with time, it don’t. You just learn to go on living.January 30, 2015 at 9:15 pm #8924
Kevin will back this up, this Scotch/Irishman and his great great grandson of a Texas Ranger, held their own when it came to a jar of Tennessee’ finest.January 22, 2015 at 9:22 pm #8906
It was a good trip. We wish we could have waited them out. There was literary 100k snows/blues/specks/cans sitting in a field next to the highway 55/79 crossing.
Anybody that has hunted with Kevin knows it’s a giggle a minute and he knows everyone and their 2nd cousin on their aunt Minnie’s side.
Side NOTE; I got to see the house where the white Johnny Cochran lived.

Still time to get with me and LD at Reel foot. We’re headed out Thursday early 30. tho it goes against my better judgement to go anywhere east of the Rockies.February 13, 2014 at 2:17 pm #7704
Poor puppy!February 12, 2014 at 11:56 am #7700
We’re over 120% on our snow pack this year. So Corona otta be able to keep up with the yuppie demand.
We need those 11 million mexes to help cover the 93 million of us who decided to say F it and stay home to follow our dreams.February 12, 2014 at 11:47 am #7699
That sucks, hope nothing seriousFebruary 12, 2014 at 11:41 am #7698

FYI Midnight April 1stFebruary 7, 2014 at 11:53 am #7677
Maybe we otta make it a date. Lord knows we don’t have any corn here to even give them snows pause.
I know it means I’ll have too come down off my mountain, but that is more likely then yu climbing up here. Besides how could I miss a chance to room with Thad or watch 1Cup choke until he blows beer out his nose?February 5, 2014 at 7:03 pm #7671
I know you’re waiting for me to get old enough so yu can at least keep up.
First in my bucket is to make it through this damn winter. I’m tired of shoveling snow and ice.
I feel a road trip is in order, preferably to some place warm.
Maybe the 6 should try their hand at slaughtering some snow geese?February 5, 2014 at 6:24 pm #7670
Good to hear from you. I gotta lot of respect for someone taking on another man’s responsibility. Best wishes for you and yours in the coming year.January 10, 2014 at 12:30 pm #7589

I don’t know, looks like some of the 013 bs is continuing into 014 but hey, I can now buy pot with the blessings of the local gestapo.December 24, 2013 at 5:00 pm #7497
It wasn’t on a Christmas but me and my o’l Duke spent a week fishing the Arkansas from the headwaters down to the eastern plains. Camped in a different place every night. Found the grave of Kit Carsen’s great nephew. Caught a ton of fish.
When I first got Dalle from Mike I drove back home over some of that same road. We bonded over a bag of barbeque Fritos.
I miss them two dogs as much as any good friend I’ve lost.December 24, 2013 at 4:43 pm #7496
Merry Christmas to all my merry brothers!
I ain’t fired a shot. For a lot of reasons I’m not in the mood this year. Took the wife’s dog out 4 times. She’d be a good dog but I wasn’t planning on really huntin her so most of what I got is my fault. To her I’m just the guy that drives the truck. I been thinking of taking her to real trainer. But I just need to get off the rag and do what I need to do.December 18, 2013 at 10:05 pm #7453
This year ain’t done yet, wife’s car blew up today. SOB is paid for too. I can’t even get mad. I’ve had so much chit happen that I just shrug and go pifff what else you got?December 17, 2013 at 9:19 pm #7437
I’m torn. Didn’t have much work, but hell I never cared for the shit anyway. Got a new dog for my wife then I Lost a great dog. Chased deer for a month and never got a shot, then killed my biggest bull. Got to spend time with Kevin but couldn’t make the trip to see Yu. Been duck hunting 4 times and haven’t killed a duck. Not that I really care this year.
I guess it has all balanced out. And that maybe that is the way it should be.
I’ll toast 2013 good bye and embrace 2014 with it’s good and bad with hope and faith.
