They created their own. Get this, if you live in a ” resort county” I E; Pitkin, Eagle, Summit, Garfield, you pay a higher premium then other counties. Resort meaning a county that has a town like Aspen or Vail, then it’s residents must all be second home rich MFERs.
I ain’t worried about it. I don’t see how any if this survives a year.
Part of me is laughing at the fools that voted for this idiot, but at the same time I know somewhere someone is really hurting.

I haven’t even gone out. There’s only 2 birds in the valley right now. I might break down and go this weekend. The wife’s pup Dixie could use the blind time even if I don’t seem to have it in me this year.
I don’t know if I told y’all but me and Kevin figured out we were related. His third cousin removed once owned the farm, before it burned down, next to O’l Willie White. Ol Willie took in stray dogs and such and turned em into the finest sausage huntin dogs you ever saw this side of Jauklin Parish.
Now my great Aunte Earl ( her real name was Elloweeze but nobody could remember how to spell it) Anyway she lost her sausage while vacationing in Palm Springs. She spent weeks looking for it. And it was a kennel mate of one of Willie’s dogs, found it. Tho there is some argument as it was really found by Aunte Earl’s cat and Willie’s dog stole it from the cat and ate it.
So you see this proves me and Kevin are at least cousins, if not litter mates. True Story.November 2, 2013 at 1:16 pm #6924
I got my elk back from the processor today. It come to 368 lbs of steaks, burger, a couple roasts, 10 lbs of blue berry sausage and 10 lbs of jalapeno brats. Total cost, $236.60. or just over .64 cents per lb.
I gave an ice chest full to my oldest son and still my freezer is full.
I do alot of the work before I take it in. It’s all boned out and organized so the butcher just has too trim it a little and cut, grind, and wrap, so he gives me a pretty good break.
I measured the rack last week and it scores right at 280. Not the 300 we were guessing, but still a nice bull. He totally dwarfs the other 2 bulls I have in my living room. I only have enough room left for a white tail buck. I haven’t told the war department yet.November 1, 2013 at 4:46 pm #6923

Tuesday night I heard a terrible racket coming from my front porch. I figured my cat was having sex again with the neighbor’s poodle. When I opened my door to investigate I was horrified to find Kevin.
Honestly we didn’t stop laughing for 2 days. Reliving old times in Argentina and creating new tales. We both now have new material for duck and elk camp.
I got a updated report that Wyoming has released an all points bulletin on a silver Honda Ridge line going 9 miles over the speed limit.October 18, 2013 at 9:21 am #6807
Personalized engraving does hurt over all value unless the parties are famous or the gun was used in a famous event. But since this is a more personal thing, don’t worry about it. The gun holds more value for you then you’d ever sell it for.
As for finding a good engraver, like tattoo artists, inspect their work first. Be sure they work up the art work with you first.October 15, 2013 at 12:25 pm #6780

I had a guy ask me this summer Of the people I know who fill their tags every year what is their secrete? I said, 1 they hunt the same area every year, 2 persistence. The two go hand in hand. Just having one or the other isn’t enough.
Of course it doesn’t hurt to have a coyote like my son hunting with you.October 14, 2013 at 6:27 pm #6770

Expect a long fight with the Insurance company even thou their guy is at fault. You have a right to compensation not only for your immediate costs and loss of income ,but also what your future health costs and loss of income potential. Don’t settle cheap.
I know this because my neighbor and his wife were t-boned. He walked away but she suffered a traumatic head injury. She is lucky to be alive let alone able to walk and talk. Still she is disable from it and lost a 6 figure a year job. She suffers from almost constant health issues and at times a disjointed memory and speech.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.September 19, 2013 at 10:41 am #6539
