Well were still having pretty good weather up here still. Been seeing some cranes still hanging around so I imagine the geese are still here.
Headed to Wynyard Sask on Wed for 12 days of goose slaughtering and some band collecting. Good luck to anyone still hunting.

Cloudy, Snow & Rain Mix – 40-45 Degrees
Well what a difference a day makes, yesterday I limited out on geese in no more than 15 minutes. Today heavy winds and snow and we only managed a loner. Geese still around got some new cranes in today, plus seen probably 100 swans between clearwater and the T River.
Gonna break out the duck decoys tomarrow and see what happens.

Haven’t had much time to get on here lately. Last week was pretty slow not much for geese. New birds moved in on Wed but I went to Ketchikan(sp) and am not sure whats left around.
Have a possibility of some weather moving in today/tonight so I’ll be out tomarrow seeing if we have some new birds.

Well over the last week we have had a good # of geese and cranes move in. Haven’t hunted or paid any attention to the duck #’s but for speaking for the geese it’s been pretty good.
Last week went well hoping this week is a replay.

Well, haven’t posted in a bit…opener was good. Lots of dumb brown ducks!!! And believe it or not Cranes and Geese like there haven’t been around in 3-4 years. Hunted again midweek last week and the hunting was good again with several large flocks of cranes and geese around. Ric…I’ll let you know when my partner and I are headed your way later this month or early next.

Cloudy, Light Rain & Drizzle – 50-60 Degrees
Well the last two days may be the toughest yet. Hunted hard with three geese to show for it. No new birds yet just locals and not many of them.
The swans and cranes started to arrive over the last 6 hours, so hopefully the Canadas aren’t far behind.
Seen probably 200 Specks pushing south today, they were high when they passed me so I assume they grouped up somwhere north or west.
Starting to see a fair # of quack quacks.
It’s still early and am just buying my time till the whitching hour arrives.
Have to go to Houston tomarrow, be back at noon on Sat will try the afternoon and see what that brings.

HUNTED FOR THREE DAYS ONLY HAD THREE SETS OF BIRDS COME IN ON OUR SET HAS A MATTER OF FACT ONLY HAD THREE SETS OF BIRDS COMING CLOSE TO THE FIELD! WE SEEN A LOT OF BIRDS ARRIVING AROUND 9: 30 AND FLYING HIGH AND KEEP FLYING SOUTH.
TALK TO MY BUDDIES, THEY HUNTED FIELDS RECENTLY CUT AND
SAW FEW BIRDS IN FIELDS. SOME OF THE GUYS LEFT AND DID NOT STAY TO HUNT AFTER SCOUTING. I WONDER WERE ALL THE LOCAL BIRDS HAVE GONE IN THE LAST FEW YEARS.

Cloudy, High Winds – 50-60 Degrees
Went out this weekend. Between Two of us shot a few pintails and 20 Teal. Made a nice little stirfry tonight.
Seeing alot of Geese just not when I am hunting.

Haven’t really gotten going yet, hunted one day for geese. Have talked to a few guys with no real positives yet. It’s real early though and there are alot of birds still to the north and west.

Well here we go guys, a day and a wake up.. Hope everybody has there mid season gear pulled out, calling for a possibility of snow and cool temps for the wknd. Been at work since sun, usually see birds moving over head but nothing new has moved through in the last few days.
Let’s hear how everyone does when you get a chance to post. I’ll probably post again on sun when I get back to work.
