Sunny & Clear, Morning Fog – Over 70 Degrees
Hunted a few places this weekend. Did pretty good with the doves, but not well with the geese. There aren’t many corn fields cut around here yet which probably hurt us. The coming weeks should be much better. We managed to kill 4 geese this weekend.
Just found a pretty good morning spot that I’ll hit in the next week or to. Deer season is coming in next weekend….don’t know if I’ll chase any geese or not.
Goose pictures are in the huntin’ dog gallery.

What is the word on resident Canadas on
Lake Juliette. Are they in reliable patterns

There is a world of pillows to stuff with feathers

I emailed DNR and ask about our season. Their response was:

Sept. 2 – 24 early goose
Nov. 18 – 26 and Dec. 9 – Jan 28th regular season

Sept. 16 – 24 early teal season

Hope this helps

Be nice to let us know when season is before it actually stars. The Ga. DNR website still has no dates and it is rumored to start in a week.

Hotter than Hades but the BWT are starting to show up. Counted 7-8 this weekend in shallow pond.

Just saw the news for the suggested regs for this year. pretty much the same as last year. 16 day teal season and you can shoot a can or penny all season this year. they may drop bills from two to one and you can kill two hooded mergs this year.

another month till early season.

was on a 100 acre lake in newnan last week and it had 50-75 geese on it. almost all had not finished their molt yet so you could get real close.

One of my buddies and I took our dogs the other day to work them and let them play. There were 4 small geese that haven’t learned to fly yet which was fun for the dogs once they realized they were there!!! I only saw one larger goose..
