hunted xmas eve morn and did not see too much. no divers to speak of on the upper end of the lake. did scratch out one gaddie which i winged and had to chase. not easy in a layout rig by yourself. 7, 3.5 inchers later and he was in the bag. sucker liked to dive. saw one big group of geese headed to the golf course.

A great day. Three man limits of ducks and
geese. A man told me a couple of years ago
at another lake that geese would not decoy
to water spreads. Wish he could have been there.

I hunted our marsh in bama on friday morning. 6 hunters shot 29 birds. One guy even killed a b lack duck which is rare for us.

Went to guntersville for the weekend. not as many birds as i am used to seeing but not bad. killed some gadwall and a spoonie.

another dissapointing opener. 70 degrees and one volley fired. heard some guys getting into it but i think they were setting up on mostly local birds.

well they only have two ramps open now at the toona. If you hunt the upper end of the lake like i usually do you now have a very long boat ride since the closed galts ferry.
