I think cooler temps, different winds, a smaller spread, and pressure from yesterday all played a factor. 2 geese came in and I pulled both of those and that was it. We had one big bunch act like they wanted in but on the final approach they changed their minds. Something we had going on flared them. We still seem A LOT but it was hard pulling them today! Thats all for my 2012 season! No problem Mark, it was a great time. Glad we could do it. Dont forget about me when it comes time to play in the mud and chase them devil birds! By tracking the refuge counts over many years and using personal observation(and many calls from others) I can piece together the exact migration days. It’s the only way to do it unless you are out everyday and learn to trust certain individuals reports helps too.
