Most of the fields that were corn last season will be Hay this year. Last spring we put about 30 nesting structures out, this spring all of them were used. This is a great way to expand your season. If you are fishing this spring at Pelican Lake and see a nesting box that’s ours. Kurt Case zeke@basinnickelads.com Posted… Continue reading

Posted By: silverkitten73 Guest 05-09-2005 09:37 – – – I just have to ask – So just how well do the guys in the mud buddys do? Do the guys in the airboats do better than the mud buddy guys? I guess it is all about location and if the hunter knows what they are doing. I have a buddy who owns an airboat – and although I would love to have one – the mechanical upkeep on them slows me down. Posted By: Joseph-Morzinski Guest 03-03-2005 00:53 – – – Hey guys — Last Sat. goose nest repair/rebuild project went just ‘pretty good’. We had a great turnout of airboaters and helpers, but the DWR guys didn’t pump in enough water for us to make it to all the old nests. We had fun riding around on a beautiful day, had a good social and lunch. Check it out on the Doug Miller show this Sat. nite, 11:00 pm. I’d sure like to hear about your Spring conservation hunt!! CUL-JOE Posted By: cut emnova Guest 02-25-2005 09:27 – – – jereme, have a safe trip and i will be looking forward to hearing from you before we head down! did you ever talk to jack at the weigh station? i know markley is heading down today (friday) to get things set up and checked out. this next week is going to… Continue reading

I still can\\\’t find my marbles. 01-26-2005 23:11 Cloudy, Heavy Fog – Over 70 Degrees Good to see some of the posts and I really had similar experiences throughout the season. It seemed work took its toll this year on both family and hunting time, but I was still able to get a few days (20) in the swamp. All-in-all this year had some pretty special memories…… This was my pups first full season and on opening weekend I watched him try to retrieve a winged goose. The goose pretty much beat the crud out of him. He is still wary of geese to this day. Damn that… Continue reading
