Oklahoma Duck and Goose Hunting Report Archive

Posted By: iluvlabs Guest 12-09-2010 13:47 – – – I checked my uncles place in Wayne this morning. Water is WAY down and not a single bird. I was already planning to hunt a flood control that is holding lots of divers and puddlers over by Lindsay on Sat. I was going to hunt my uncles on Sunday. Looks like I will be heading somewhere else on Sunday. Gotta check a few spots before I decided I guess. Good luck to all!! We do have a few ducks hanging around but if we don’t get some water they won’t be staying around long. I wish all a great #2 opener and a great… Continue reading

Posted By: iluvlabs Guest Konawa 11-18-2010 11:45 Sunny & Clear, Winds Calm – 35-40 Degrees Scouted this place yesterday afternoon and saw around 50 ducks with atleast 6 geese. Got there this morning and jumped geese and ducks off of it. Apparently they are using it as a roost. I was picky with my shots and dropped a drake widgeon and drake gadwall with 1 shot apiece. I watched alot of ducks work. Passed on several ringnecks. All in all it was a good hunt!! Ready to shoot a deer or 2 this weekend! Have not scouted any big water but nosing around a few ponds. Have not seen any teal yet, but I am guessing they are on the move right now. Posted By: Aaron(Mingo)Milligan Field Editor 02-04-2010 18:52 – – – Agreed. I doubt anybody is ever going to post up, “man, I killed all the ducks I wanted, and I’m glad the season is over.” I think about the old days when I was a kid. Maybe make a dozen hunts. Usually end up cold and wet and kill about a dozen ducks all season. Looking at a mallard hen in the decoys when they were 100 points, wonderin’ what to do. I like these days just fine. Posted By: DrakePassinAssassin Web Member Great Season…. 02-04-2010 14:41 – – – Not always limits, but always fun! I am reminded of the saying “A bad day duck hunting is better than a good day doing (almost) anything else! Kill ’em all, let dogs sort ’em out! Time to start buying for next year! Thanks to Mingo and the rest for all… Continue reading
