The birds we took came as singles and doubles first, before a switch to larger groups. The majority of birds flew latter. We shot a full limit and after the hunt had marinated and smoked goose breast slices with dipping sauce, venison sausage, pickles, roasted pecans, and italian pastries. Beverage provided by Mr. Coors. A great day! Reports from the 2nd and 3rd weeks indicated more bird movement with the start of corn harvesting and the return of more seasonable temperatures. Shoot more, shoot more often. Get out to the range…. The grand passage has begun. Be where the birds want to be, GNR.
