Upper Snake River 11-02-2006 15:22
– – 0-10 Degrees – Ice
most shallow water up this way has frozen up. Lots of waterfowl moving to river and any open water. Large flocks of tundra swans flying south (very high). Should not be long before the northerns pile in.

Duckcollar my prayers are with you and your family. I never met you but have read your reports good luck and best wishes.

Went out this mourning and shot a field for geese and two of us got three birds. For some reason the birds didn’t like something oh well it beat work. Doese anyone have a report on the geese in the burley rupart area. I have heard there were some geese in the area and just wondering if it would be worth the dive to check my fields. Well i think we are going to hunt geese again tomorrow in a field i found that has about 75 birds in it. I will let you know how we do. good luck and be safe out there.

Well it has started out to be a great season
we went out fot the opener last weekend for ducks and three of us killed 21 ducks , widgon, teal, gadwalls, pintails and mallards. then today for the opener of geese 4 of us killed 16 geese by 10:00am in a field that didn’t have any geese in it yesterday but the geese were flying by and we were able to pull them to our spread it was great. My son shot his first limit of geese. well we will see what happens tomorrow. good luck and be safe

WOW, what a weekend! Killed 14 ducks and 8 different species. 4 Mallards, 2 Redheads, 1 Woodie, 2 Scaup, 1 Blue Wing, 1 Canvasback, 2 Spoonies, and 1 Widgeon. I have never experienced a weekend like that. You rarely ever here of killing that many different birds in one area. It is going to be a great year!

Third day of the season and I have already got 3 limits of doves and one limit of blue grouse. Not a bad way to start off the season. Still cannot wait till duck and goose season though.
