did a bit of scouting saturday morning. decent ducky weather other than being a bit warm. saw a good amount of mallards. probably locals mostly. did seen some woodies and some geese as well. one more week.

got a chance to meet scott(sorry if i got the name wrong i’m bad like that)a new WFC member at the lake. must be pretty hard core because he is honestly the first other hunter i have seen pre-season scouting at the toona. drop me a PM if you ever want to hunt together. good luck next weekend. hopefully i’ll see you afterwards and we will both have a nice bag.

These warming trends are starting to tick me off. Too close to the opener for that stuff. Heading to the lake to scout this weekend. then buff up the deeks for next weekend. Hopefully it is nice cold, foggy, rainy…..nasty. just the way we like it.

Went scouting today and saw about 5 geese on one of my ponds, saw several groups flying in the same direction (probably about 60), saw 10-12 mallards heading somewhere about 20 minutes before dark. Can’t wait until the opener…

saw about 8-10 bigger ducks, probably mallards, in a small mash on the way home from work. seen a couple woodies here during the early season but this has been the first sign that winter is coming.

Can’t wait. come on Nov 18. 2.5 more weeks!

Been seeing tons of geese around here. They are a month late; huh? I am planning on doing some riding this weekend to check out a few of my places to see if they are there. Been seeing lots flying in every direction.

Hunted Saturday morning for some geese. Hunted with Mealer and a few others. We managed to kill 1 teal, but no geese. YEs, I’m guilty of the deer hunting and football right now.
I’ll get out more in November during duck season.
