Shooting was ok, 4 greenwing teal and 1 mallard hen. Mostly teal and black ducks. few mallards before shooting time. Hopefully mother nature will cool it down so the shooting will get better for the rest of the season. Ended up with 5 teal 2 black ducks and one hooded merg. Not a whole lot of mallards around there anyway. We saw just black ducks and teal and the one merg and a few flocks of high flying geese. We’ve been skunked there twice this year, but today it was good. Called in two geese at 720am out of flock of 12 birds, they landed in the pond and we took them on the rise after the flock circled and left. Saw several hundred birds going elsewhere, then at 8:45am, a group of 4 came in and we dumped ’em all… Continue reading

Not bad for the few places I have available to hunt. Sure were tastey. Ten-CT, One-VT, One-NH. Well no time to rest now, have duck decoys to paint, have to finish the lay-out boat, have to fix up the blind on the big boat. Work, work, work.(all in the name of fun.)See you on the water.
